The Top Questions Asked About Commercial Dumpster Rentals

by | May 17, 2021 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

We get a lot of questions from prospective business owners about dumpster rentals — not only how to obtain one, but what you can and can’t do with one. Below are some of the most common questions we receive, but if you have a more specific one, be sure to give us a call!

What Can I Put Into a Dumpster?

Commercial dumpsters are so convenient because they allow you to put just about anything inside it – yard waste, household garbage, even construction materials. Because of the hazardous nature of certain types of trash, there are a few things that we insist you dispose of a different way, such as hazardous chemicals, bio-waste, and anything that can damage the actual dumpster itself. If you need bulk recycling, we can handle that as well.

What is the Correct Way to Load a Dumpster?

Loading a dumpster is pretty straightforward: simply fill it to the brim, and call us to come to pick it up. That being said, there are a few rules when it comes to loading your dumpster rental that you should keep in mind. First, make sure that there is nothing hanging over the side or protruding from the top of the dumpster. This creates logistical issues because our drivers won’t be able to transport them properly. If you have more trash than a single bin can hold, please schedule a second bin to be delivered to your location.

How Do I Know Which Dumpster is Right For Me?

Making sure you have the right dumpster can make the difference between an easy disposal process or a real headache: too large, and you can pay for what you don’t need; too small, and you’ll need to schedule a second bin. Think of it this way: For every twelve standard trash bags, you’ll need one cubic yard per dumpster. That means a standard two-yard dumpster will be able to hold 24 bags, while a six-yard dumpster can hold 72 bags.

What if I Need to Recycle?

Whenever possible, we encourage our customers to recycle anything they have. Not only does it make more efficient use of products, but it also decreases the amount of things to go into our landfills, which is increasing at an alarming rate. If you would like to reserve a bin specifically for recyclables, make sure to call us and schedule one to be delivered, otherwise, everything that goes into your bin will go into the main trash site.

How Does a Dumpster Rental Work?

We pride ourselves on making the dumpster rental process as painless as possible. First, call up our offices and schedule a specific size of dumpster to be taken to your location at a specific time. Then, one of our drivers will deliver it to your location, where you can load it all the way to the brim. Our driver will return at a pre-set time to pick up your dumpster, and the job is done!
